Brand & Sourcing Teams
Define the product, finish, destination-market context and documentation scope before asking a Vietnam factory to implement the coating system.

Lotus works with brands, sourcing teams, product developers, and Vietnamese manufacturers to turn coating requirements into systems that can be sampled, evaluated, trialed, documented, and implemented in production.
A coating system should be specified against the actual material, finish target, application process, and production conditions — not selected by product name alone. Lotus Paint is a water-based coatings brand by Bich Trang Production Trading Service Co., Ltd.
The specification process connects the buyer's requirement, the actual substrate, the finish target, the factory application process and the confirmed production scope.
Clarify the product, substrate, finish target, intended use, manufacturing context and documentation requirements.
Lotus
Reviews the brief and identifies what must be confirmed before a system direction is proposed.
Input
The buyer provides product information and requirements; the factory provides application context where available.
Assess the actual material and surface conditions before selecting the coating system.
Lotus
Evaluates substrate type, preparation, porosity, existing finish and relevant production constraints.
Input
The buyer or factory provides material details, samples or photos, and current process information.
Define the required appearance, colour direction, transparency, sheen and surface character.
Lotus
Reviews references, target colour, wood-grain visibility, opacity and surface appearance.
Input
The buyer provides a reference sample, target colour or approved finish direction where available.
Translate the product, substrate, finish target and process context into a complete system direction.
Lotus
Considers preparation, layer structure, topcoat, application method, drying or curing and documentation scope.
Input
The buyer and factory confirm the substrate, process constraints and evaluation scope.
Prepare a sample panel or product sample to evaluate the proposed finish direction.
Lotus
Coordinates finish development and review on the actual or representative substrate.
Input
The buyer reviews visual and technical fit; the factory reviews process fit.
Evaluate the proposed system under the factory's actual equipment, process and production conditions.
Lotus
Coordinates trial review and helps define adjustments where required by the project scope.
Input
The factory applies the system under agreed trial conditions; the buyer reviews the outcome.
Move the approved coating system into the confirmed production scope.
Lotus
Aligns the application sequence, finish reference, documentation and technical coordination needs.
Input
The factory implements the approved process; the buyer confirms the production acceptance scope.
Good coating specification starts with the product, not the paint code. Lotus reviews the product type, intended use, substrate, target finish, application context and documentation requirements before proposing a direction.
Product type and intended use
Substrate or material
Existing finish or reference
Target appearance and colour
Gloss or sheen where relevant
Application method
Production environment
Factory location
Existing process constraints
Required technical documentation
Not every project requires every item at first contact. The initial requirement is used to determine what must be clarified before specification.
The substrate can influence preparation, absorption, appearance, layer structure and application feasibility. Solid wood, MDF, veneer, composite, concrete or cement-based materials, and steel or metal used for wood-look applications may each require a different system direction.
Material type and surface condition
Porosity and absorption behaviour
Sanding or preparation condition
Existing coating or contamination
Substrate colour and visual variation
Factory application equipment
Production environment
Intended use and finish target
The finish requirement is developed from a reference sample, colour target or approved direction where available. The target may involve natural wood appearance, stained appearance, a transparent finish, an opaque finish, sheen or surface character.
Colour approval is not necessarily production approval. A visual match on a sample panel does not by itself establish production suitability.

Sample-panel comparison
Lotus evaluates the complete coating system rather than treating the coating as an isolated product. Not every system contains every layer; the structure is confirmed against the substrate, finish target, application process and production conditions.

Production conditions
A reference direction is developed into a sample panel or product sample, reviewed against the target and revised where required. The approved sample establishes the finish reference before factory evaluation.
Sampling confirms the finish direction on a sample or product before the proposed system is evaluated under factory production conditions.
A Vietnam factory trial evaluates the proposed coating system on the actual production substrate using the factory's equipment, application method and production conditions. Lotus coordinates with the manufacturing team during the trial; the factory remains responsible for its own production process and conditions.

Adjustment scope where required
Depending on the project, the system may be adjusted after factory evaluation before production approval.
The objective is not simply to approve a sample. It is to establish a coating system that the manufacturing team can reproduce within the confirmed production scope.

Ongoing technical coordination where required
To evaluate a coating requirement, send as much of the following information as is available. Not every item is mandatory at first contact.

Target colour
Desired appearance
Application method
Existing coating process, if any

Any applicable project requirements
Procurement and product specification teams can use the same process to align technical requirements before production.
Define the product, finish, destination-market context and documentation scope before asking a Vietnam factory to implement the coating system.
Evaluate the substrate, finish target, sample result, technical information and production suitability before approval.
Translate an approved finish requirement into an application sequence that can be tested and implemented under factory conditions.
Technical documentation is available by technical request according to the relevant coating system, substrate, intended use and application scope.

Documentation and reference data are not applied universally to every product or substrate. Scope is confirmed by system, intended use and project requirements.
Case studies will show how coating requirements, material conditions, sampling and factory trials come together in actual production projects. Verified project evidence is added only after the relevant scope and outcome can be documented.

Yes. The process is designed for requirements developed or sourced internationally and implemented with manufacturing teams in Vietnam, subject to the confirmed project scope.
Not automatically. Different substrates can require different preparation, layer structures or application conditions even when the target appearance is similar.
Lotus can review a reference sample, colour target or approved direction and develop a sample on the actual or representative substrate. Final approval should consider the material and production process.
A sample approval establishes the finish direction. A factory trial evaluates whether the proposed system can be applied under the factory's actual equipment, process and production conditions.
Yes. Lotus can coordinate trial planning and technical review with the Vietnam manufacturing team within the agreed project scope. The factory remains responsible for its production process.
Technical Data Sheets, Safety Data Sheets, application guidance, relevant reference data and trial-related information can be exchanged by technical request according to the confirmed system and scope.
Yes. A new product can be evaluated through requirement review, substrate evaluation, finish definition, sample development and factory trial before production implementation.
